Born in Mix Run, Pennsylvania, Silent film star Tom Mix was famous for his elaborate cowboy outfits. Mix is also remembered for his famous steed, Tony the Wonder Horse. Mix starred in a number of popular Westerns (often adaptations of Zane Grey novels) in which he thrilled audiences with his death-defying stunts.
